Confusion species
Many species of Phyllonorycter are extremely similar, great care should
be given when separating these species. It is often impossible to
separate the adults of some species.

Wherever the foodplant is found.
Foodplant
Oak.
Lifestage data
Leaf miner. Eggs laid on underside of leaf. Larva forms a small gallery
which can be an irregular shape less than 14mm long. Pupates in a
tough, white cocoon within the mine.
