Confusion species Many species of Phyllonorycter are extremely similar, great care should be given when separating these species. It is often impossible to separate the adults of some species. |

(Bivoltine)  Habitat Wherever the foodplant is found. Foodplant Oak. Lifestage data Leaf miner. Eggs laid on underside of leaf. Larva forms a small gallery which can be an irregular shape less than 14mm long. Pupates in a tough, white cocoon within the mine. |
